Tray wrapping is the most commonly used packaging solution for beef steaks in supermarkets and grocery stores. This packaging method applies to 1-2 days’ fast-selling beef steaks that doesn’t require very long shelf life. Tray wrapping uses a foam tray which holds the beef steaks and an absorbent pad wrapped with a clear atmosphere permeable plastic film. The permeability characteristics of the film allow oxygen from the air to come in contact with the beef steaks. This type of packaging is very economical and utilized cost-effective equipment.
